Just hours after Wednesday’s terror attack in London that saw a car run over pedestrians and a police officer fatally stabbed, Donald Trump Jr blasted London Mayor Sadiq Khan for characterizing terror attacks as “part and parcel” of urban life.
“You have to be kidding me.” Trump Jr., President Trump’s eldest son, tweeted. The tweet linked to a an interview Khan had done months earlier with The Independent about the frequency of terror attacks in major cities.

The Islamic State has claimed responsibility for the terror attack that left 29 people injured and four dead, including the assailant and a police officer, outside of London’s Parliament building.
Khan refused to comment when anchor Christiane Amanpour brought up Trump Jr’s tweet.
“Well, I’m not going to respond to a Tweet by Donald Trump Junior, I’ve been doing far more important things over the past 24 hours,” he said.

“What I do know, is that the threat level in London and across the country is severe. That means an attack is highly likely.”
Following the deadly Islamist terror attack, Sadiq, who took almost two hours to respond to the attack in his city, told Bloomberg the capital city the “safest global city in the world.”
Several people did respond to the younger Trump, including British MP Wes Streeting, who called him a “disgrace” for using the attack for “political gain.”
@DonaldJTrumpJr You use a terrorist attack on our city to attack London's Mayor for your own political gain. You're a disgrace.
